# Content Types

You will rarely need this page.

A content type is one kind of entry: a service, a review, a page. This screen
is the list of the kinds your website holds.

Think of each one as a blank form. The content type decides which boxes you
see when you open an entry, and what each box is called.

We built this list when we built your website, and it matches what your site
can show. Go to **Admin**, then **Content Types**, and you can read it. There
is nothing here to change.

:::caution[Warning]
A change here hits every entry of that kind at once.

Take a box off a content type and what you typed in it goes from all of them.
Rename a box and your website may stop finding it, so that detail drops off
your pages. Typing the old name back does not bring the words back.

Nothing warns you first, and your visitors see the result right away.

Contact us if you need a new box on your entries. A second phone number on a
service, or a start date on a job.

Tell us which kind of entry it is for, and what the box should hold. We add it,
put it on your website, and check that nothing else moved.
