Plugins
Commerce
Sell products, plans and files from your website.
Add-on
Commerce is an add-on, so not every website has it. If it is not in your menu, see Add-ons to add it.
Commerce lets you sell online. You get a Shop page. People pay by card on your own web address. Each buyer gets an account with you. Your sales land in the panel, and so do the people who made them.
Go to Plugins, open the Store & Bookings group, and click Commerce. The screen has seven tabs: Orders, Subscriptions, Products, Shipping, Customers, Reports and Settings. Shipping only shows when your store ships goods.
The things you sell live on the Products tab.
Your Stripe keys are on the Settings tab, behind the Stripe keys → button.
Your Dashboard gains two cards, Sales and Commerce activity.
Buyer sign-in is handled by Accounts, in the same group.
The full guide
Commerce has its own guide. Click Commerce at the top of this page, or start with one of these.
- Selling on your website. How the parts fit together.
- Connect Stripe. Set up the firm that takes the card payment.
- Stripe key and sales tax. What your key must be allowed to do, and US sales tax.
- Commerce settings. Every box on the Settings tab.
- Products and Plans. Add the things you sell.
- Digital products. Sell a file to download.
- The Shop page and blocks. Where those things show up.
- Orders. Read a sale, move it along, and take a phone order.
- Shipping. The packing queue, labels and tracking.
- Subscriptions. Plans your customers pay for.
- Customers. Who bought, and what they are owed.
- Affiliates. Pay people who send you customers.
- Customer emails. What your customers are sent.
- Reports. Sales by day and by product.
- Customer accounts. What a buyer can do on your site.
Turning Commerce off destroys nothing. The Shop page goes away, and so does the Commerce screen. Your orders and your products sit and wait.
