Common problems
Almost everything that goes wrong is one of the things on this page. Find the line that sounds like your trouble, and the fix is under it.

Nothing changed on my website
Section titled “Nothing changed on my website”I changed something but the website still shows the old version
Section titled “I changed something but the website still shows the old version”Your work is saved. It is not published. Those are two steps, and the panel does the first one for you.
Open the entry and look at the top right. A blue Publish button means your change is waiting. Click it, then click Live View and read the page. On a list screen, a yellow Pending changes tag means the same thing. See Saving and publishing.
If that is not it, tell us.
I added something new and it is not on my website
Section titled “I added something new and it is not on my website”A new entry starts as a Draft. Only people who can sign in can see a draft.
Open it and click Publish. The Status line then reads Published. See Saving and publishing.
If that is not it, tell us.
I changed a saved section and the pages still say the old thing
Section titled “I changed a saved section and the pages still say the old thing”Dropping a section into a page makes a copy of the words. The two are not tied together after that.
Open each page that used it and fix the words there. Sections explains why.
If that is not it, tell us.
My photo album is not on the Gallery page
Section titled “My photo album is not on the Gallery page”An album made for you by a media folder arrives as a Draft.
Go to Content, then Gallery, open the album, and check its Status. If it says Draft, click Publish. See Media Folders.
If that is not it, tell us.
Pages and links
Section titled “Pages and links”My page says it is published but nobody can find it
Section titled “My page says it is published but nobody can find it”Being published puts the page at its address. It does not put a link to it on your website.
The links across the top come from Manage, then Menus. Add one with Add Custom Link, and type the address starting with a slash. Menus has the steps.
If that is not it, tell us.
A link across the top of my website disappeared
Section titled “A link across the top of my website disappeared”Somebody gave that link a Parent. Your website draws one flat row of links, so a link with a parent is dropped.
It still shows on the Menus screen, indented, so nothing looks wrong there. Open the link, set Parent back to No parent (top level), and save. See Menus.
If that is not it, tell us.
Three links in my footer go nowhere
Section titled “Three links in my footer go nowhere”Footer: Company came with the design, holding About, Blog and Careers. Your website has no such pages, so all three land on a “page not found” screen.
Take them out. Go to Manage, then Menus, click Edit on Footer: Company, and click the trash icon on each row. Step 6 walks through it.
If that is not it, tell us.
A page of mine will not open at all
Section titled “A page of mine will not open at all”Look for a redirect pointing at it. A redirect beats a live page: if your page’s address is in the Source path box, every visitor is sent away instead.
Go to Manage, then Redirects, and look down the source column. Turn that redirect off with the blue switch, or delete it. Redirects covers both.
If that is not it, tell us.
I changed a web address and old links stop working
Section titled “I changed a web address and old links stop working”The Slug is the last part of an entry’s web address. Change it and the old address is dead: bookmarks, search results and printed flyers all land on nothing.
Put up a signpost. Go to Manage, then Redirects, and send the old address to the new one. Redirects has the steps.
If that is not it, tell us.
I cannot add a new page
Section titled “I cannot add a new page”That is how your website is built. It serves a set list of pages, so an entry made with Add New on the Pages screen never gets an address.
Email us and say what the page is for. We build it, add it to your menu, and tell you when it is ready. See Pages.
Pictures
Section titled “Pictures”A picture is broken on my website
Section titled “A picture is broken on my website”That file was deleted from your Media library. Nothing checks where a file is used before it goes, and the Trash cannot bring it back.
Upload the photo again. Then open the page, click Change under the broken picture, pick the new file, and click Publish. See Media.
If that is not it, tell us.
I fixed the words on a photo and the page still has the old ones
Section titled “I fixed the words on a photo and the page still has the old ones”Alt text is copied onto the page at the moment you pick the photo. Changing it later leaves the pages that already use it on the old wording.
Open the page, click Change, pick the same photo again, and click Publish. See Media.
If that is not it, tell us.
The big banner at the top of a page is empty
Section titled “The big banner at the top of a page is empty”The page is asking for a hero that is not there. Either the hero was deleted, or the slug in the block does not match.
Go to Plugins, then Showcase Heroes, and copy the slug off the list. Paste it into the block’s Hero box, then publish the page. See Showcase Heroes.
If that is not it, tell us.
Your business details
Section titled “Your business details”My opening hours are not showing
Section titled “My opening hours are not showing”The hours on Business Profile are never printed on your website. Only search engines read them.
To show them to a visitor, add a row on Contact Methods with the Type set to Hours. See Contact Methods.
While you are there, check the shape of the times on Business Profile.
They want two digits, a colon, then two more: 08:00, not 8am. A row in the
wrong shape is thrown away without a word. See Business
Profile.
If that is not it, tell us.
My social links are not showing
Section titled “My social links are not showing”There are two screens with that name, and only one of them works. The one under Admin, then Settings, does nothing at all.
Your profiles go under Content, then Social Links. If a row there shows no icon, it could not make a working link: open the profile in your browser and paste the whole address in. See Social Links.
If that is not it, tell us.
The Remove button did not remove my logo
Section titled “The Remove button did not remove my logo”That button does not work, and we know about it. The picture goes from the screen, so it looks like it worked, but your visitors still see the old logo.
To swap a logo, use Change Logo. That part works. To take one off altogether, email us. See Settings.
The colors look wrong after I changed the palette
Section titled “The colors look wrong after I changed the palette”Most of your website follows a new palette on its own. Parts we styled by hand may not, and a button can end up hard to read.
Go back to the palette you were on: Admin, then Plugins, the gear on
the site-theme row, then Save Settings. Your website returns to what it
was. Plugins has the steps, and
Step 3: Choose your colors shows every palette in
light and dark so you can pick by looking.
Then tell us which palette you wanted, and we will make it work.
Food menus
Section titled “Food menus”A menu section is in the wrong food menu
Section titled “A menu section is in the wrong food menu”Each section carries a Menu box holding the slug of the menu it belongs to. An empty box joins the first menu on the list.
Open the section, type the right menu’s slug in that box, and click Publish. See Menu Sections (Food).
If that is not it, tell us.
A whole part of my food menu is missing
Section titled “A whole part of my food menu is missing”A section with no dishes in it does not show. Not the heading, not the intro, nothing. An unpublished section does the same.
Open the section, check that it has at least one dish with a name, and click Publish. See Menu Sections (Food).
If that is not it, tell us.
Messages from customers
Section titled “Messages from customers”I am not getting lead emails
Section titled “I am not getting lead emails”The message itself is safe. It is in Plugins, then Leads, whether the email went out or not.
Check your junk folder first, and mark anything you find there as not junk. Then open the lead: a yellow strip across the top means the email did not go out.
Email us with the date and time of a lead you got no email about, and the address the emails should go to. See Leads.
Getting things back, and getting in
Section titled “Getting things back, and getting in”I deleted something by mistake
Section titled “I deleted something by mistake”If you used Move to Trash, it is still there. Trash is a junk drawer, not a shredder.
Open that list screen and click the Trash tab. Click the circular arrow on the row to restore it, then click Publish to put it back on your website. See Saving and publishing.
Delete Permanently is the other one, and it cannot be undone. Nothing brings that back, and neither can we.
If that is not it, tell us.
I cannot sign in
Section titled “I cannot sign in”Try the other way in first. Click Sign in with email link, type the address your account was set up with, and click Send magic link. Then look in your inbox, and in your spam folder.
A passkey belongs to one device, so it will not be there on a borrowed laptop.
Still stuck? Stop, and email us. Tell us your website address, the email address on your account, and what the screen says, word for word. See Signing in.
