Getting support

We built your website, and we look after it. When something is wrong, write to us.

support@lookoutridgeit.com

  • A page in this manual sent you here. Every Contact support box is a job for us, not for you. So is every Warning that ends with our name.
  • Something looks broken. A picture that will not show, a page that will not open, a link that goes nowhere.
  • You are not sure. Ask before you click, not after. Asking costs you nothing. Guessing can cost you a page.

There are no silly questions here. We would far rather hear from you today than in a month.

The more of this you send, the quicker we can help.

  1. Your website address.
  2. The screen you were on. Give us the menu names, such as Content, then Services.
  3. What you did. The buttons you clicked, in the order you clicked them.
  4. What you expected to happen.
  5. What happened instead. If the screen showed words, send those words.
  6. The version number. It sits in the bottom left corner of the panel. The tour of the admin panel points it out.
  7. A picture of your screen, if you can manage one.

On Windows, press Win+Shift+S, drag a box around the part you mean, then press Ctrl+V inside your email to paste it in.

On a Mac, press Cmd+Shift+4, drag a box around the part you mean, and the picture lands on your desktop. Attach it to your email.

Common problems covers the handful of things that catch people out. If your trouble is on that list, the fix is a click away.

Not sure what a word on the screen means? Try the Glossary.

Never put a password in an email, to us or to anybody else. We never ask for one, and we do not need one to help you.
